The Short Version
Be kind, be helpful, stay on topic, and treat others the way you'd want to be treated. If everyone does that, the rest takes care of itself. Remember that this is a community dedicated to Eranium's legacy, so no advertising of non-Eranium services.
1. Be Respectful
Treat fellow members with courtesy, even when you disagree. Healthy debate is welcome; personal attacks, insults, and hostility are not. Critique ideas, not people.
We have zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind, including content that targets people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any similar characteristic.
2. Stay On Topic
Post in the most relevant category and keep discussions focused on the subject at hand. Before starting a new thread, take a moment to search, someone may have already asked your question. Keeping things organized helps everyone find what they're looking for.
3. Keep It Constructive
This community is at its best when members help one another. When you ask a question, share enough detail for people to help. When you answer one, be clear and patient, remember that everyone was a beginner once.
If you disagree with something, explain your reasoning rather than simply dismissing it. Assume good faith; most misunderstandings come from tone, not intent.
4. No Spam or Excessive Self-Promotion
Don't post advertising, referral links, repetitive content, or unsolicited promotions. Sharing your own project or content is fine when it's genuinely relevant to the discussion and you're an active, contributing member, not when the forum is just a place to drop links.
5. Respect Privacy
Don't share anyone's private or personal information, including your own sensitive details or someone else's, without clear consent. This includes real names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, private messages, and screenshots of private conversations.
6. Keep It Legal and Appropriate
Don't post content that is illegal, infringes copyright or trademarks, or violates anyone's rights. Keep content appropriate for a general audience: no explicit, graphic, or otherwise NSFW material.
Don't share pirated software, license keys, or instructions for circumventing security or protections. The laws of the Netherlands are being followed.
7. Post Authentically
Use one account and don't impersonate other members, our staff, or anyone else. Don't manipulate votes, reactions, or discussions through multiple accounts or coordinated activity.
8. Give Credit and Keep It Original
When you share someone else's work, quote, or content, credit the source and link back where you can. Don't pass off others' work as your own.
How Moderation Works
Our moderators are here to keep the community welcoming and on track. They may edit, move, or remove posts, and in some cases suspend or ban accounts, that don't align with these guidelines. Moderation decisions are made to protect the community as a whole.
If you see something that breaks the guidelines, please use the report or flag feature rather than responding in kind. Reporting is confidential and helps us act quickly.
If you disagree with a moderation decision, reach out to us privately rather than debating it publicly in a thread. We're happy to explain our reasoning.
A Note on Enforcement
Most issues are resolved with a friendly reminder. For more serious or repeated violations, consequences may escalate to content removal, temporary suspension, or a permanent ban. We aim to be fair and consistent, and we always prefer helping members correct course over removing them.

As our community grows, we may update these guidelines. We'll announce any significant changes, and continued participation means you accept the current version.
